Metal Forming
If your part needs to be stamped or formed, we're equipped with an array of presses from 7000 ton hydraulic units for the deepest draws to 800 ton mechanical presses for fast trimming, forming and piercing operations. Our forming and fabricating operations also include hydroforming round tubing to be expanded to any shape using high-pressure fluid up to 45,000 psi. The advantages of hydroforming are accelerating its growth in the manufacturing of automotive exhaust and frame components, as well as applications in aerospace and appliance industries. Dramatic reductions in weight, fewer number of components and assembly operations, and improved strength and quality are a few of the benefits realized by the hydroforming process.
We also have the capability to stamp materials such as the Inconels, Hastalloys and exotic stainless steels to form parts in high definition applications. High definition forming maximizes the elongation and stretch of the super alloys, with deep draws and more complex shapes. What it allows us to do is produce parts that: one, were not possible before; two, are more intricate in design; three, are more functional and efficient; and four, in some applications eliminate multiple part configurations through piece simplification.
