Company Transforms Shop Into a Holiday Wonderland with Santa Visit and "Elfis" Impersonator
The 2005 holiday season for the employees of the 3-Dimensional Services Group, their families…and especially their children began with the company’s hosting of its 5th annual ‘Breakfast with Santa’ festivities Saturday, December 3, at the firm’s headquarters in Rochester Hills, MI. Attending were over 250 children and employees. In addition to meeting Santa, activities for the children included a Polar Express Train, Turbo-Tub Carnival ride, ice sculpturing, a visit from Roary™ the team mascot of the Detroit Lions® football team, and a special show from an “Elfis” impersonator.
Keith Chene, chief financial officer, is very active in planning the event. He and many of the staff participated in the event by donning elf outfits to heighten the festive atmosphere. According to Chene, “This party has become a ‘can’t miss’ event for everyone at the company…sharing with families and friends, and making it a special time for the children is what the holidays are all about. It’s hard to imagine anyone could attend this party and not get in the holiday spirit…even Scrooge would be smiling.”
Alan Peterson, vice president, expressed his personal pleasure and that of the organization. “It’s great to see all of the kids having fun,” Peterson said, “and the employees joining in the activities. The ‘Breakfast with Santa’ is a high point of our holiday season, a special way of thanking our corporate ‘family’ for their efforts throughout the year.”
The 3-Dimensional Group consists of Urgent Plastic Services, Urgent Design & Manufacturing, and 3-Dimensional Services. The three companies specialize in the design, engineering, and rapid build of prototype parts for industries and manufacturers worldwide.
